Heather Harrington, founder and president of Harrington Communications, is an award winning marketer and graphic designer who, prior to starting her company, honed her craft at marketing and design firms in Chicago, Illinois, Troy, Michigan, and one of the country’s top retail branding and design firms in Dayton, Ohio.

Heather, who is meticulous about meeting client deadlines and budgets, excels at fulfilling clients’ needs through her creative approach to design and communication. She develops corporate branding and identity systems for Harrington Communications’ clients and offers creative counsel at all levels of visual communication on everything from brochures and direct mail campaigns to advertisements, web sites, logos, stationery, packaging and marketing collateral.

Heather’s work has received numerous awards, including multiple MarCom and Hermes Platinum and Gold Awards, The Communicator Award, Crystal Award of Excellence, and she has been recognized by the IABC Detroit Renaissance Awards. Heather also believes that it is important to give back to the community, and is an active volunteer for civic organizations in Metro Detroit. Recently, she was the Marketing Director for a very successful 5 kilometer race that raised funds for the Belle Isle Nature Zoo. As part of her duties, she developed a visual identity for the race and designed promotional materials reflecting that identity. Heather served as Co-chair of the Community Parties Committee for the Junior League of Detroit for two years. Heather is currently serving on the Literacy Partnership Development Committee for the Junior League of Detroit, which focuses on partnering with other non-profit organizations in the 48215 zip code to promote literacy to the children living within that area by providing volunteers, financial assistance and support for cultural, educational, health, fitness and spiritual programs. Heather also serves on the Marketing Committee for the Grosse Pointe Chamber of Commerce and the Advisory Committee for the Detroit RiverFront Conservancy’s Annual Fundraising Event “Shimmer on the River.”
